Texas VLB: Letter from the Chairman

With 2020 behind us, Texans across the state are looking to 2021 for a fresh start. Here at the VLB, our new year’s celebration is set to extend all year as we honor our 75th anniversary of serving Texas Veterans.

Texas has always taken care of our Veterans. In the months following the close of World War II, Texas once again rose to the occasion, creating the Veterans Land Board, which would have a fund for the purchase of land for resale to Veterans of World War II at very low-interest rates and generous repayment schedules. Over the years, the VLB’s role has grown significantly, expanding to provide various services. As a Veteran myself, I’m proud of the work the VLB does, and I look forward to seeing what we continue to accomplish in the next few years.
